A conference on existence was held at Salahaddin University-Erbil
Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE) arranged a conference titled “Coexistence in Kurdistan – its Positive Impacts in the Past and Present”.
The conference was attended by the Erbil Governor - Omid Khoshnaw, President of SUE - Asst. Prof. Dr Kamaran Younis Mohammed Amin, President of the Union of Religious Scholars - Dr. Abdullah Waisi, and Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences - Jamil Ali Surchi, Tayeb Zrari - Director General of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, Shirin Khalid - Head of Ainda District, Hakar Bahram Sherwani - Students Representative, heads of Department, teachers and students
At the beginning of the conference, the President of Salahuddin University delivered a speech and said that coexistence in Islam is not just a slogan, but a conviction and belief in coexistence.
He also said that in many parts of Kurdistan, there are more than one ethnic group and different religions that live together peacefully.
In the end, he expressed my special thanks to the dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, the heads of departments, teachers, and students, who have organized conferences and symposia in the past and present reflecting the society focusing on issues that have a positive impact on society and encourage the youth, families, and individuals.
