The College of Environmental Sciences of Sulaimani University in collaboration with Sulaimani Forestry and Resources Directorate is conducting a panel on ‘Environmental Problems of Kurdistan Today’. The event is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023, and will take place in Hall C of the University Congress Hall.

The panel will delve into the recurring issue of ‘Forest and Grassland Fires’ in the Kurdistan region. Annually, particularly during the summer, a substantial portion of forests and grasslands succumb to fires, resulting in considerable environmental damage and potential ramifications for the region’s future.

A segment of the event will be dedicated to the discourse on ‘Environmental Pollution and the Importance of Environmental Education’. Following this discussion, participants are encouraged to contribute their insights and perspectives to further enrich the panel´s content.
